The Yaesu WIRES-X HRI-200 enables internet to RF communications that expands the range of amateur radio using internet enabled Voice-over-IP technology. With WIRES-X, an amateur node station connected to the internet and interfaced to the WIRES-X HRI-200 unit can communicate using VoIP over long distances reliably with ease.

The YAESU DR-1XE is a digital and conventional FM dual mode repeater that covers the VHF and UHF amateur radio band. It was developed for use with System Fusion and conventional FM in mind.
Replacing your existing analogue FM repeater with a Yaesu DR-1XE provides continuing use of Analogue FM whilst integrating the use of digital communications functions through its unique AMS capabilities.

SCU-39 kit

Users can easily establish and operate a WIRES-X Portable Node Station by directly connecting the FT2DR/E to the PC with the SCU-39. The conventional HRI-200 internet interface kit is not required for the Portable Digital Node function, and no fixed global IP address is necessary. Since users do not need to open an Ethernet port, the WIRES-X communication from any location is possible – such as hotel rooms, airports,
vehicle wi-fi, or even wi-fi Access Points

  • IPX6: Can resist high-pressure, heavy sprays of water.
  • IPX6K: Can resist water jets of extremely high pressure. Rarely used.
  • IPX7: Can be submerged up to 1 meter in water for 30 minutes.
  • IPX8: Can be submerged deeper than 1 meter. The exact depth is specified by the manufacturer.
  • IPX9K: Resists high-pressure, high-temperature sprays at close range. A very special case that’s dictated by a separate standard.
